Operations & Delivery Manager (Consulting Services)

Job description

Requirements

Job description:

We are looking for a rigorous, organized, and hands-on person with experience in project management in consulting services, capable of effectively structuring the tracking of our mandates and supporting their smooth execution.

But beyond skills, we are especially looking for someone who “fits” with us: curious, positive, and pragmatic, who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and contributing concretely to the smooth running of projects.

In a boutique firm like ours, where not everything is set in stone, this person plays a key role in organizing, clarifying, following up, and supporting the team on a daily basis, while bringing a broader perspective that makes it possible to better anticipate and structure projects.

The mission:

  • Ensure the operational follow-up of projects by maintaining clear, up-to-date, and structured information.

  • Support teams in advancing their mandates by ensuring rigorous tracking of next steps, priorities, and deliverables.

  • Structure and consolidate project-related data (hours, progress, capacity, issues) in order to provide a reliable and ongoing view of the situation.

  • Contribute to a global view of projects in order to support operational decisions and the organization’s evolution.

  • Act as a bridge between teams and management, ensuring the smooth flow of information.

  • Contribute to balancing workload and anticipating needs in a multi-project context.

  • Support partners in their operational activities, particularly in preparing proposals and tracking projects.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities below present the different dimensions of the role. They may give the impression of a broad range of tasks, but they all fit within the same logic: tracking project progress, structuring information, and ensuring everything is clear, coherent, and moving forward to facilitate decision-making.

Operations structuring and management

  • Ensure the entry, update, and validation of project-related information (hours, progress, milestones, next steps).

  • Maintain simple and effective tracking tools (dashboards, files, follow-ups) that provide a clear view of projects.

  • Structure information so that it is accessible, accurate, coherent, and useful for the team and management.

  • Ensure follow-ups are completed and information is up to date.

Project tracking and coordination

  • Track the progress of several mandates in parallel.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with experts to understand the real status of projects.

  • Identify gaps, delays, or unclear areas and help clarify them.

  • Support teams in organizing next steps and priorities.

  • Follow up as needed to maintain project momentum.

  • Support the project billing process.

  • Highlight issues and trends observed across projects.

Resource management and assignments (capacity)

  • Track team members’ workloads.

  • Identify overload or availability situations.

  • Contribute to anticipating needs (reassignment, external support, prioritization) and propose adjustments based on observed findings.

  • Maintain simple tools to visualize workload.

Team and operations support

  • Prepare progress updates and project follow-up reports for client meetings.

  • Support proposal preparation (structure, effort estimation).

  • Participate in certain internal operations-related activities.

  • Contribute to improving tools and work practices.

This role is central at Interface&co: it contributes directly to the quality of our mandates, the fluidity of our operations, and our ability to grow in a coherent way. Beyond project tracking, it offers the opportunity to actively contribute to the evolution of our practices and to the organization of our operations in a growth context.

Desired profile:

This role is intended for someone who has already evolved in a multi-project environment, is able to navigate a certain level of complexity, and can structure information to effectively support the team and management.

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in project coordination or managementin a consulting or multi-project context, with concrete experience in project tracking and managing several mandates in parallel.

  • Excellent organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and information structuring, with great rigor and particular attention to detail, especially in data management.

  • Proactivity, autonomy, and the ability to seek out information, follow up, relaunch, and structure work with teams in a fast-changing environment.

  • Ability to understand what is concretely happening in projects, to step back, and to structure information in order to make it clear and useful for the team and management.

  • Comfort in a cross-functional role, with good judgment to prioritize, flag issues, and support day-to-day decisions.

  • Interest in tools and technologies (including AI) that help optimize work methods.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, inFrench and English.

If you enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, moving projects forward, and concretely supporting a team while actively taking part in the evolution of a growing company, this role is for you!
